Ryan Adams: 'I'd Swap Depressing Music For Star Wars Soundtrack'

American alt-rock star Ryan Adams has joked that he’d only ever stop writing ‘depressing’ music if he was given the role of writing the music for Star Wars!

The comments came via Twitter, where he was talking with Judd Apatow - the award-winning filmmaker behind movies like Anchorman, 40 Year-Old Virgin, and many others - about Star Wars.

Adams tweeted: “Hey @starwars Lemme do some crap in the new Star Wars movie and Ill quit writing this depressing music. Thanksbye.”

Apatow replied: “How can I have more followers than Star Wars? I can see having more than Tron or Bloodwork. Something must be done.”

Adams then wrote: “Imagine what George Lucas could do with Bloodwork now after the fact with the miracle of technology and green screens.”

Somehow, we don’t think we’ll be seeing Adams’ name scrolling down the credits of a Star Wars film any time soon. Who would you pick to produce the music for a new Star Wars film? Let us know in the comment box below.
