Ian Brown - frontman of Mancunian alt-rock icons The Stone Roses - pretended to wipe his bum with the British flag at a recent gig in Mexico, according to reports.
The singer, whose band were warming up for their massive headline slot at Coachella Festival tonight by performing their first ever gig in Mexico, showed the crowd his punk side at the gig on Tuesday night, and decided to use the Union Jack as bumwipe!
Although the capacity of the gig had been downgraded from 20,000 to less than half at 7,500, the ‘intimate’ gig was still widely-praised, and according to Louder Than War - who attended the the show - ‘the atmosphere was electric’.
While they put on a hell of a show, we imagine there’ll be a few differences when the band hit the UK for their three shows this summer. Firstly, we doubt there’ll be any downgrading in size for the band - tickets for the gigs sold out within an hour of going on sale, and Glasgow Green and Finsbury park will be absolutely rammed with rockers.
We also doubt Brown will be wiping his bum with a British flag at the UK gigs too - though, we wouldn’t put it past him!
