American rapper A$AP Rocky has revealed that he’ll be putting out an album of instrumentals - made entirely by himself.
The chart-topping hip-hop star has had a hell of a year, releasing his critically-acclaimed debut album and making a name for himself across the globe. As well as being a talented lyricist, though, Rocky’s also a pretty good producer - and is planning to release an album of his creations later this year.
Speaking to Wild 94.9 (in a video you can see below), Rocky explained:
“I'm working on an instrumental album right now. I'm doing all my own beats. It's going to be interesting to see how people react towards my production. I'm going to put it out, I'm not even going to announce it. Just drop it. [I’ll release it] sometime soon.”
It’s unknown whether he’ll be asking any of his rapper pals to chip in vocals for the album’s tracks, or whether he’ll leave them all as instrumentals - as it looks like he won’t be supplying any of his own lyrics for them.
