Daft Punk's New Track 'Get Lucky' - Feat. Pharrell Williams & Nile Rodgers - Appears Online?

Thursday, 18 April 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

What appears to be a full version of Daft Punk’s new track ‘Get Lucky’ has appeared on SoundCloud, following the recent unveiling of a one-minute version last weekend.

The tune will appear on Daft Punk’s forthcoming new album ‘Random Access Memories’, and sees rapper Pharrell Williams and Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers collaborating with the French house duo.

A one-minute long preview, accompanied by a video, appeared on screens at Coachella Festival last weekend, as well as featuring as an advert on Saturday Night Live last Saturday (April 13th) - you can check it out here.

As you may expect with an artist as big as Daft Punk, many people began posting what they think - or want others to think - is the full, finished version of the track, either to get hits or to advertise their own music.

But, while most versions are easily identifiable as fakes, a seemingly legitimate full track has appeared on SoundCloud, and it features two different verses and a vocoder-heavy breakdown - giving this particular upload a much more credible appearance.

Uploaded by a fan in Istanbul, it claims to be the original radio edit of the track - you can check it out below. Let us know whether you think this is the real track - and what you think of it!
