This week, he’s been on fine form as usual, and reports of him being ‘absolutely hammered’ at Ye Olde White Bear in Hampstead, London, have hit the press - and he was allegedly so drunk he tried ride someone at the pub’s dog. Yes, you read that correctly!
The reports come from fellow drinkers who were also in at the pub, who told The Sun that he and seven mates ran up a £300 bill - which they almost forgot to pay - drinking JD and Cokes, and even a £47 bottle of Billecart-Salmon champagne. And, after seemingly getting too drunk to walk, Gallagher decided he needed an alternative route home - and decided that a passing dog was his best bet.
Someone who was also at the pub told the paper:
“He was absolutely hammered. He tried to get on the dog’s back and they were just taking little steps - but it just didn’t work. It was really funny.”
Another drinker told of how Gallagher and his mates left the pub without paying, and said:
“The poor waitress serving them was crying when she thought she’d lost all the money, but the pub manager ran after him.”
The manager himself also commented, and said:
“After £300 of drink you forget things. He was happy to pay straight away when I caught up with him.”
