As I Lay Dying Frontman Tim Lambesis Arrested After Alleged Murder-For-Hire Plot

Tim Lambesis - frontman of Californian metalcore outfit As I Lay Dying - has been arrested by police after allegedly plotting his estranged wife’s death.
The vocalist, a known Christian, has been arrested and charged with ‘Solicitation of Another to Commit Murder’, after reportedly attempting to hire a hitman to take out his wife Meggan Lambesis, from whom he is currently separated.
Though not much is known about the charges and how likely it is that they’re true, he was apparently caught after contacting an undercover police detective - suggesting that there may indeed be truth behind the news.
San Diego County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Jan Caldwell has commented on the news, and has told Reuters:
“The information came to us late last week. We acted quickly on it. I believe that we averted a great tragedy.”
There hasn’t been any statement from anyone to do with the band, either from band-members or their managers, so we’ll have to play the waiting game to see how this story pans out. We’re personally very shocked at the news, and hope that it’s some kind of mistake - you Twitter users seem to feel the same way. Some of you wrote:
