English singer-songwriter and X Factor runner-up Olly Murs has unveiled the brand new music video for his track ‘Dear Darlin’.
The third single to be taken from his his chart-topping, platinum-selling 2012 album ‘Right Place Right Time’, it’s set for a release on June 2nd, and has now been given a brilliant accompanying video featuring Murs himself.
Co-written with his close pal Ed Drewett - also a singer-songwriter - the tune is a heartfelt ballad, and a departure from the up tempo pop anthem sound of previous singles ‘Troublemaker’ ft. Flo Rida, and ‘Army of Two’.
Talking of working with Drewett, Murs has commented:
“Writing with Ed and him being my friend helped, as we sat there for hours before writing, going over old relationships and recalling their scenario. It’s about writing to someone to tell them how I feel about losing someone. It’s not the kind of song you’d expect me and Ed to write, as we’re bubbly characters, but we were able to open up to each other.”
