Susan Boyle has announced she will embark on her own tour of Scotland this summer, confirming dates for her 'Susan Boyle In Concert' tour.
Susan Boyle announced the new dates via a message on her official website:
'Hello,
It’s been awhile since I last wrote. Instead of boring you with mundane news I prefer to wait till I have something exciting to say.
I’ve been very busy singing and rehearsing. For what you ask? Well I’m pleased to announce that I will be embarking on my own tour in Scotland this July aptly named ‘Susan Boyle In Concert’.
This is the first year that I feel I can hold my own on a stage for the full time and that I will be able to please an audience and my fans. So I will be performing on 7 nights in Scotland as a tester to see if I enjoy it. The venues chosen are intimate and steeped in Scottish history. Fingers crossed it will all go well and then as they say the world is my oyster and I can look in 2014 to do more, well that’s the plan anyway.
One of the reasons I chose Scotland was to say thank you to my fellow Scots for their unwavering support over the past four years. The loyalty and kindness shown to me has been overwhelming, so now it’s my turn to give something back.
I hope that you all will come and watch the shows and more importantly enjoy them. This is a big step for me but one that I’m very excited about. There will be a variety of music and I’ll have my own band, plus a few surprises on the night.
I look forward to seeing the red scarves in the audience! As a special treat for my fans, please come back tomorrow evening (Thursday) when I will give you a password so you can order specially held fan tickets. They are limited in numbers and on a first come first serve basis, limited to four per person but as I would love you to join me on this tour I felt it was the least I could do.

Susan Boyle released her latest album, ‘Standing Ovation’, her fourth album in just three years, in November last year. Featuring breathtaking renditions of ‘Send in the Clowns’ and ‘Bring Him Home’, Susan fearlessly takes on the iconic song ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ giving it a new identity. ‘Standing Ovation’ also showcases duets with her lifelong idol Donny Osmond and the “Phantom” himself Michael Crawford.
The album heralds a return to an era of much loved music for Susan Boyle, a lifelong fan of musicals. Her favourite songs from the golden age of film and theatre fused with her outstanding vocals from the ethereal to the dramatic, the music showcases the voice the world fell in love with.
