Neosignal Unveil Incredible Must-See Video For New Track ’Planet Online’ - Watch Now!

Wednesday, 15 May 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

A good music video is something that can put your band on the map, win you awards, and cement you into musical history. This year, we’ve seen some interesting videos, ranging from the incredible Biting Elbows video for ‘Bad Motherfucker’, to a Cattle Decapitation video so messed up we can’t even hotlink to it. Today, we’ve been gifted with another epic video - this time for Neosignal’s new track ‘Planet Online’!

Out on June 10th via Noisia’s Division Recordings, backed with ‘Angst’, and featuring remixes from Culprate and Rockwell, the new track is a bouncy, funky electro beat, and it’s video is one of the coolest you’ll see this year. An ode to all things online (and 90s children’s toy adverts!), it looks at how active young kids are on the internet - and the kind of 18+ things they’re subject to all to often.

The video was created by director’s collective Dent De Cuir - one of it’s members, Jean-Phillipe, has said of the vid:

“The idea behind the video was to look at how the next generation are interacting with the internet and are faced with an ever expanding range of content. We employed early 1990's advertising aesthetics so we could recreate the internet by using toys as the media. It was an exciting (and intense) experience that felt like being back in childhood for 2 months.”

Featuring references from all of your favourite internet related sites, from YouTube to Facebook, from YouPorn to Rotten, from 4chan to Instagram (obviously they asked Stereoboard but we turned them down... we swear!), it’s an incredible video and a lot of effort has clearly gone into it’s production - you can check it out below. It’s received thousands of plays already, and it’s being heaped with praise - let us know what you think in the comment section below!

You can find more from Neosignal here - their debut album ‘Raum und Zeit' hits shelves on June 24th.
