Rock titans Muse kicked off their UK stadium tour in style last night, showing off their brand new stage show and bursting through a career-spanning set.
The band wowed a packed Ricoh Arena (that didn’t catch fire earlier in the week!), and performed tracks from their latest album ‘The 2nd Law’ as well as their first record ‘Showbiz’ in a 26-strong setlist jam-packed with crowd pleasers.
Opening with ‘Supremacy’, the band performed hits such as ‘Supermassive Black Hole’, ‘Time is Running Out’, ‘Sunburn’, and ‘Knights of Cydonia’, while they continued their trend of using video roulette to decide whether they perform ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ or ‘New Born’ - with the former winning this time round.
As usual, the show featured special effects, pyrotechnics, giant robots, huge video screens, and even a shower of specially made Muse currency (think Euros with the band on; Muso’s!). The crowd were also treated to warm-up sets from Dizzee Rascal and Bastille, ensuring the gig was one to remember.
You can check out some Twitter reactions from the gig below - check underneath them and you’ll find dates and links to find tickets to the band’s three remaining UK stadium tour dates. By the sounds of it, they’re going to be crazy, so you can’t afford to miss out if you’re a fan! You’ll also find the setlist from last night’s gig.
Great night last night watching Muse at Ricoh ! Want to do it all over again #muse
