British Lotus F1 Team To Use Daft Punk Car In Monaco Grand Prix

Friday, 24 May 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Britain's Lotus Formula One team will be hoping they ‘Get Lucky’ at the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend - as they’re using a car covered in Daft Punk decals and graphics to compete in it!

Rumours were started after the Lotus F1 team started posting rather cryptic tweets and videos, some suggesting that the drivers were going to ‘#GetLucky’, and other featuring mysterious clips of what appears to either be the two Lotus drivers - Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean - or the two French house superstars themselves.

After toying with their fans, the team spilled the beans and revealed a number of pictures featuring what appears to be a car inspired by Daft Punk, and featuring their trademark race-helmet style headwear - you can check out some pics below, while there's also a YouTube embed combining all seven of their videos together. The move follows Columbia Records - Daft Punk’s label - becoming a new Lotus F1 partner.

Are you an F1 fan? What do you think of the car? Leave us a comment in the box below.
