Warrant Issued For Tim Dog's Arrest - Did Rapper Fake His Own Death?

Friday, 24 May 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

If you remember rapper Tim Dog (we don’t blame you if you don’t), and were a fan of him, you may have been saddened to learn of his death in February earlier this year.

But, despite The Source reporting that Dog - real name Timothy Blair - had indeed passed away (due to ‘complications from diabetes’), he’s now allegedly gone under investigation for faking his own death, in order to dodge charges of grand larceny - and owing thousands (possibly even millions) in debt to women he reportedly scammed via dating website.

While the story may seem rather crazy, The Source have since removed their original article reporting his death, and a warrant for his arrest has even been issued in Mississippi - meaning that we may very well be looking at a high-profile (well... kinda high) faked death case!

What’s more is, a woman called Esther Pilgrim - someone who Blair was forced to pay $19,000 to in 2011, after he conned her out of $32,000 - has also claimed that he’s alive and well, as well as stating that she believes he owes a hefty $2million to at least 20 other women who had also fallen victim to his fraudulent behaviour.

Speaking to WREG Memphis, aka Channel 3 News, Pilgrim has attempted to expose the fallacies in his death, and told the station of how 20 females had contacted her in regards to Tim Dog owing them money. She said:

“He really thinks he can outsmart everybody. Twenty victims have contacted me personally from around the world. Oh, I think there is a great chance that he’s alive.”

She goes on to say of his death:

“There was nothing of what you would normally find.  What city? Who found him? There was nothing with any type of concrete details. [A friend went to Atlanta to find his death certificate, and] they weren’t able to find any record of his death.”

The station even reports that it enlisted the help of private investigator Andy Wilson to look for details of his death - and he too found nothing. What do you think of the story? We find it very fishy indeed, but we’ll have to wait and see how this one unfolds - if there’s a warrant for his arrest, we imagine we’ll see some kind of closure soon. Or al least we hope! Leave your opinions in the box below.

If you aren’t aware of who Tim Dog is, he’s a rapper from the Bronx, New York who found a little bit of fame in the 90s penning diss tracks against the likes of NWA, and Compton itself - check out his track ‘Fuck Compton’ below. He later formed the duo Ultra with Kool Keith of the Ultramagnetic MC’s... his fame then soon fizzled out, and it seems he then started a career in fraud!
