The Sea & I Announce Release Of Eponymous Debut EP

Thursday, 06 June 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Indie-folk outfit The Sea & I have announced that their eponymous debut EP will hit shelves on July 15th - as well as unveiling the brand new music video for it’s lead single ‘Improve’.

The unique band - self-described as an ‘ever changing phalanx of musicians augmented with anything from brass, to strings to choirs depending on availability, venue size and the mood of the moment’ - have been hard at work in the studio, and have now revealed the release date of their first ever EP.

They’ve also been working out of the studio, too, putting together a music video for the EP’s lead single ‘Improve’ - you can check that out below. The new vid has been compiled entirely from footage of the Richard Mansfield film ‘Wolfskin’.

The band have also lined-up a very special show to launch their EP, taking place in London’s Old St Pancras Church on July 15th. The Sea & I do not play gigs in the usual sense; they simply reinterpret songs they've recorded according to where they are and who they have with them. Their last performance was in St. Leonard’s Church in East London, and featured a 50-piece choir.

You can check out their brand new ‘Improve’ video below, while the EP’s tracklisting is also below. If you enjoy it, leave us a comment below - and make sure you don’t miss their gig in London this July!
