Modest Mouse Cancel UK Dates To Finish Work On New Album

Washington's indie rock quintet Modest Mouse have cancelled all of their forthcoming July UK dates as they continue to work on their new album.

The band have released the following statement:

“After much thought, we have decided to cancel our EU/UK tour to continue work on our forthcoming album. We do appreciate our fans and promise that we will make it up to you next year.

“We look forward to sharing our new music with the world next year.”

Its been six years since Modest Mouse released an album, 2007's 'We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank'. Although the band have been busy working on a new record, there is no news of a release date just yet.

Modest Mouse were also due to play T in the Park on July 7 and Latitude on July 19. Both appearances have been cancelled along with the tour dates. Ticket holders are advised to seek a refund from their point of purchase.

Wed July 17th 2013 - NOTTINGHAM Rock City (Cancelled)​
Thu July 18th 2013 - BIRMINGHAM Institute Library (Cancelled)
