Synthpop duo Hurts have announced that their new single ‘Somebody to Die For’ will hit shelves on July 21st.
The track is the third single to be taken from the band’s second album ‘Exile’, which came out back in March. The album peaked in the Top 10 of 30 countries, with a #5 midweek and a #9 chart position in the UK album chart.
‘Somebody To Die For’ is the follow-up to second single ‘Blind’, and the record’s first ‘Miracle’. ‘Miracle’ received strong support from the likes of Huw Stephens and Zane Lowe at Radio 1, with the pair performing the track on the Jonathan Ross show.
Similarly, ‘Blind’ was a Record of the Week at Radio 2, with Hurts recently performing the track on the Graham Norton show. New single ‘Somebody to Die For’ is a dramatic and passionate track that builds into a huge emotional chorus and is a firm favourite from new album ‘Exile’ - and you can catch them performing all three (plus an array of their other tracks) at their two October UK gigs.
The duo recently announced a UK and Europe tour, which sees them performing in Manchester and London in October. If you need Hurts tickets, check the dates and links below to find a pair through Stereoboard - and keep your eyes peeled for the new single
