Duologue are spearheading the world’s first interactive 3D ‘fan controlled’ video. The London band’s new single, Machine Stop premieres the new technology and concept, using Kinect cameras and purpose-build software and hardware. It also features an appearance from renowned choreographer Jean Abreu.
Fans will need to view the film via the Google Chrome web browser in order to influence the angles and depth of the film and trigger special effects throughout the film’s duration.
Chrome users can watch the video on the custom built site: machinestop.com whilst the official directors cut can be viewed on youtubehere.
The innovative technology was a collaboration between the Duologue and Moving Brands. Of the project, Duologue said: “Machine Stop is a song written about weird digital-driven relationships, and it totally made sense to us to do something that reflects that in the video. We’ve been working on this with Moving Brands for a month or two now and we’re genuinely excited to see our fans’ reaction to it. It’s been a lot of fun to work on something so fresh and exciting.”
'Machine Stop' is taken from the band’s acclaimed debut album 'Song & Dance', out now through Killing Moon Records.
Having already played Dot To Dot, Bushstock and Field Day, Duologue will also play Latitude, Haldern Pop (Germany) and End of the Road Festival this summer, before a headline show at London's XOYO on 25 September.
