Paramore, Kings Of Leon, And Rizzle Kicks Added To iTunes Festival Line-Up

Wednesday, 19 June 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

American rock outfit Paramore are among the new names announced for September’s iTunes Festival, alongside Kings of Leon and Rizzle Kicks.

The month-long affair sees a number of names snapped up to perform on the stage of the Roundhouse in Camden, London throughout September, and this year, it looks like the guys behind the festival are making sure 2013’s edition will be one of the best yet.

Amongst the first wave of acts unveiled were the likes of superstar singer Justin Timberlake and grunge rock titans Queens of the Stone Age. Also revealed was pop singer Jessie J, LA alt-rockers 30 Seconds to Mars, indie-folk star Jake Bugg, Hawaiian singer-songwriter Jack Johnson, 80’s Scottish outfit Primal Scream, and French rockers Phoenix.

Now, it’s been revealed that the likes of Paramore, award-winning alternative rockers Kings of Leon, and Brighton-based hip-hop and pop duo Rizzle Kicks have been added to the bill, joining the likes of previously announced Sigur Rós, Vampire Weekend, Ludovico Einaudi, and Bahamas, who performs alongside Jack Johnson.

Paramore returned this year with a re-jigged line-up (following the messy departure of brothers Josh and Zac Farro) and a brand new eponymous album, which went on to top both the UK and US Albums charts.

Kings of Leon also return with a new record this year - their sixth studio album ‘Mechanical Bull’ sees a release on September 24 later this year, a couple of weeks after this freshly-announced iTunes Festival slot on September 11.

Rizzle Kicks - Jordan ‘Rizzle’ Stephens and Harley ‘Sylvester’ Alexander-Sule - are back later in 2013 too, with - you guessed it - a brand new album. Entitled ‘Roaring 20s’, the pair perform at the festival on September 5 - three days after it hits shelves.
