Pop superstar Robbie Williams wore a jacket emblazoned with the words Mega Upload when he performed on The Voice on Saturday - but his manager has claimed that it ‘does not imply support’ of the site or it’s owner Kim Dotcom.
Williams took to the stage during Saturday’s live final of The Voice UK, but caused a bit of a stir by donning a jacket featuring the words ‘Mega Upload’, the name of a controversial streaming and file-hosting site that was shut down in early 2012.
But, despite wearing the jacket on the final - as well as in Dizzee Rascal’s brand new music video for his track ‘Goin’ Crazy’, in which Williams features - the ‘Angels’ star’s manager Tim Clark has denied that it means he supports Dotcom or his Mega Upload site.
“Wearing an item of clothing with a logo on it doesn't imply support. I have a Guinness t-shirt and never drink the stuff.”
Megaupload has since been relaunched under the new name Mega, with their new site located here. What are your thoughts on the site and it's owner Kim Dotcom? Leave us a message in the box underneath this story!
