Barack Obama Performs Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky'... Kind of!

Tuesday, 25 June 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

A video created using clips of Barack Obama that (kind-of!) sees the US president singing/speaking a rendition of chart-topping Daft Punk single ‘Get Lucky’ has been doing rounds on the internet today!

Uploaded by BaracksDubs, the presidential YouTube channel that dedicates itself to putting up videos of Obama mock-up videos (in it’s own words: ‘presidential covers, twice a month’!), it features the super-cool super-powerful man reciting Pharrell lyrics in ‘Get Lucky’ - you can check it out below.

The creator uses sequences of Obama taken from speeches, conferences, public appea

rances, and everything else you can imagine, and trawls through them looking for clips of the main-man reciting the words from famous tracks we all know and love - from the Pokemon theme tune to MC Hammer’s ‘Can’t Touch This’.

But, that being said, Obama isn’t afraid of genuinely bursting into song either - he’s given us some vocal performances in the past, including singing an impromptu verse of Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together’. He even joined BB King, Mick Jagger, and Buddy Guy for a quick recital of ‘Sweet Home Chicago’ - check our coverage of it here.

Anyway, if this video hasn’t crossed your path yet, it has now - check it out below!
