Manchester rockers Beady Eye could be set for a surprise performance at Glastonbury - after they posted some cryptic messages warning fans to ‘BE there or BE square’ at 11am on Friday morning.
Liam Gallagher and Co., who recently released and toured their latest album ‘BE’, had been ‘confirmed’ for the festival by tabloid paper The Sun, but there wasn’t much substance to the story - until the band were spotted arriving at the festival, according to NME.
If that wasn't enough confirmation, the band then began tweeting messages strongly hinting at such a surprise performance - asking fans ‘where will you BE?’ at 11am this Friday (June 28) morning.
The only real arguments against the band playing this secret slot is that Liam did once declare that he’d never return to Glastonbury, describing the sound as ‘shit’ - he said:
“The sound is shit and really quiet. You can hear the crowd talking while you’re playing. They don’t put any money into the PA and it’s just full of fucking idiots. Now it’s like Bond Street with mud, with loads of celebrities walking around in their boots and umbrellas. I’m not having it.”
However, Liam also has a history of slamming reality talent shows like The X Factor - only to appear on The Voice earlier this summer. So, everything seems to be pointing towards a Beady Eye performance tomorrow morning.
