Prince Jackson Tells AEG Court Case His Father Feared Concert Promoters Would Kill Him

Thursday, 27 June 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Michael Jackson’s eldest son Prince has told the jury at the Jacksons vs AEG Live courtcase that his father ‘feared’ the promoter of his ill-fated comeback tour, according to the Associated Press.

Earlier this year, we revealed that the Jackson family had filed a lawsuit against AEG Live - the promoters who were behind Michael’s comeback tour, for which he was rehearsing at the time of his death - demanding a massive £26 billion in compensation, which would cover loss of earnings as well as damages.

As the trial continues, more and more info surrounding the case is hitting the public arena - back in April it was even claimed that a lookalike double was being used to promote the tour. Now, Prince has come forward and claimed that the promoter of the tour was aggressive and intimidating towards Michael - and even left him in tears on a number of occasions.

Prince revealed that there would often be extremely tense phone calls between Michael and the aforementioned promoter, which would lead to MJ crying - and the 16-year-old even claimed that his father once told him after one of their calls:

“They're going to kill me.”

AP also reports that he testified that he once witnessed AEG Live CEO Randy Phillips grabbing the elbow of Dr Conrad Murray. Prince said Murray and Phillips were embroiled in a ‘heated conversation’, and told jurors:

“[Phillips] looked aggressive to me.”

AEG Live, however, are arguing that they had no involvement with the hiring of Conrad Murray - or any involvement in Michael’s death either. What are your thoughts on the case? Leave us a comment with your opinion in the box below!
