Jay-Z Unveils 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' Artwork - Next To Actual Magna Carta

Wednesday, 03 July 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

American rap superstar Jay-Z has unveiled the proper artwork for his new album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ - and he only went and did it next to the actual Magna Carta.

The 43-year-old’s 12th studio album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ hits shelves tomorrow, and ahead of its release, he’s decided to hit up Salisbury Cathedral to unveil its artwork next to one of the four remaining original Magna Carta prints. You can check out some pics of it here.

You can grab the album from 12:01pm EST onwards via the Jay-Z Magna Carta Samsung app - which has already seen 1,000,000 listeners sign-up to buy it, meaning the album will instantly go platinum.

The hip hop giant's new album is set to feature an all-star cast - he’s worked alongside longtime collaborator Rick Rubin, as well as Pharrell Williams and Timbaland. Speaking of the record, he said:

“The album is about this duality. Of how do you navigate your way through this whole thing, through success and through failures, and remain yourself?”

Check out the artwork on the above right - there’s not long to go before you can listen to it too! Will you be grabbing the record? Leave us a comment in the box below.
