ARIA Hall of Famer Nick Cave has appeared on American podcast WTF - and claimed that he has a ‘deep understanding of troubled women’.
Speaking to host comedian Marc Maron, Cave discussed a load of random subjects - from religion to his childhood - and later began talking about the effect he had on a ‘certain type of woman’.
“I have a deep understanding of troubled women. I have a very strange relationship in general with women around my music. There's some that understand it and some that think there should be a law against it.”
He went on to relate more to his music, and some of the more sordid themes he addresses - saying:
“It's managed to get itself a reputation and unfairly, I think. I like to look at particular issues between men and women and address some of those issues. Because I write about those sorts of things, people assume I am like that as well.”
