The Strypes Announce Details Of Debut Album 'Snapshot'

Rising Irish four-piece the Strypes have announced the details of their debut album ‘Snapshot’, ahead of their massive role supporting the Arctic Monkeys on their upcoming UK tour.
Interestingly, the rhythm and blues band - who are known for playing storming live sets full of classic covers - have penned most of the record themselves, and have only lined-up ‘three or four’ standards for the whole album. Bassist Paul O’Hanlon told NME:
“The main thing was there had to be no difference between our songs and the standards we play… it has to be seamless.”
They’ve also lined up a September release, having spent just 15 days in the studio recording it. To some, that’s nothing - but drummer Evan Walsh has claimed that the band were hoping to spend just one week locked up! He told the site:
“You know like the Beatles did on 'Please Please Me? Well, maybe not in a day like they did, but we were going for a week.”
