Viagogo Becomes Official Ticket Partner For Lytham Proms And Junction 16 Festival

Friday, 19 July 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Online ticketing site viagogo has been named the official ticket marketplace for Lytham Proms and Junction 16 Festival. Both festivals are promoted by Cuffe & Taylor and take place in August in the UK.

Through these partnerships, viagogo will be the official platform for fans from all over the world to buy tickets to these festivals through nearly 50 local language websites. In addition, fans will also be able to safely re-sell any tickets they cannot use, right up to the last minute, safe in the knowledge that all tickets are protected by viagogo’s guarantee, meaning buyers will get a valid ticket in time for the event. On top of all that, to further minimise fraud, sellers are not paid until after buyers have successfully attended the event.

Peter Taylor, a spokesperson for Cuffe & Taylor, says:

“Firstly, we must recognise that fans will buy and sell tickets outside of the primary ticket agents, but are often not protected. viagogo offers security, allowing fans to purchase tickets in a safe way, and thus helps to eliminate the bad experience of street sellers. Furthermore, we sell Lytham Proms tickets some nine months ahead of the festival and inevitably customer plans change; our partnership with viagogo allows those customers to resell their tickets, offering others a chance to purchase them at a fair market value. Finally, viagogo has an excellent international customer base who we hope to attract here to the Lancashire seaside.”

viagogo spokesperson Steve Roest added:

“We’re thrilled to be working with the organisers of Lytham Proms and Junction 16 Festival. Our mission is to provide festival goers from all over the world with a safe and easy-to-use ticketing service which protects them from fraud and offer greater access to tickets.”

Lytham Proms and Junction 16 Festival are the latest European events that have chosen to work with viagogo, including Benicassim Festival, Sonisphere, Bilbao BBK Live, XO Belgium, the Boyzone BZ20 Anniversary Tour, the Isle of Wight Festival, and Madonna’s recent European tours.
