The Civil Wars have released a brand new track, From This Valley, taken from the forthcoming brand new album ‘The Civil Wars’.
From This Valley showcases intertwining duel vocals, smashing harmonies and a memorable folk chorus, further evidence that the imminent album should end up on many ‘best of 2013’ lists come the end of the year.
'The Civil Wars' was recorded in Nashville between August 2012 and January 2013. Charlie Peacock was once again at the helm as producer for the album.
The album was recorded amid a gruelling touring schedule, exhausting workload and a growing disconnect from their families. Personal statements from band members Joy Williams and John Paul White, regarding the duo's current situation, can be viewed at thecivilwars.com.
‘The Civil Wars’ will be released on August 6 2013 through Columbia Records.
