EDM producer Jamie xx has revealed he’s working on new tracks for a new mixtape - and it’ll feature guest appearances from the likes of Four Tet.
The producer and DJ - who also forms part of the xx - seems to be back on the scene, having not released much music - bar some remixes for the xx - since 2011. And, working on a collection of tracks, he’s also enlisted the help of some ‘friends’ - including his bandmates and the talented Four Tet.
He told Japan Times (after performing at the Fuji Rocks Festival):
“I’m just making loads of music basically. Making it with some friends and with (The xx bandmates) Oli and Romy, and eventually it’s probably going to go into some sort of mixtape but I don’t know when it’s going to come out. It’ll just be ready when it’s ready.”
“I’ve started a track with Four Tet.”
