Ozzy Osbourne Claims Bill Ward Is Incapable Of Playing With Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne has claimed that his former bandmate Bill Ward was incapable of joining them on their reunion tour - because he was too ‘overweight’.
The drummer was initially part of Black Sabbath’s reunion plans but after some differences came between Ward and the band, initially believed to be contractual problems, Sabbath continued on without him. Osbourne has now claimed that he thought Ward was incapable of joining the band because of health concerns, including being too overweight.
“I don’t think he could have done the gig, to be honest. He’s incredibly overweight. A drummer has to be in shape. He’s already had two heart attacks. I don’t want to be responsible for his life.”
Despite the claims, Osbourne did add that the ‘door was always open’ for Ward to come back to the band and that it's ‘not the same’ without him.
Black Sabbath return to the UK this December, for a nationwide arena tour.
