Noel Gallagher has written off the chances of a 2014 Oasis reunion, after bookies slashed the odds of the band headlining next year's Glastonbury.
Next year will mark 20 years since the release of their debut album 'Definitely Maybe' and Noel's brother Liam has suggested that he and his sibling could "bury the hatchet for a quick lap of honour".
We reported earlier this month that bookies have slashed the odds of the band headlining Glastonbury 2014’s Saturday from 16/1 to 9/1, while the odds of the band reforming have also been slashed from 12/1 to 5/1. But now, Noel has claimed that them reuniting is 'definitely' not happening.
Asked by talkSPORT radio show hosts Andy Goldstein and Jason Cundy whether there was truth to reunion rumours he replied:
"No. No, it definitely won't happen."
He then went on to talk about possible reunions further down the line which, though he seemed more up for than a 2014 return, also seem unlikely.
"Look, who knows what would happen in, like, 20 years but 20 years from now, I'd be… 60. I mean, really, hopefully I'll end up retired by then. [I would reform Oasis] if I felt like it."
