Taylor Swift Duets With Cher Lloyd For Performance Of Want U Back - Watch Now

Tuesday, 20 August 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Taylor Swift is a not-so-secret admirer of Cher Lloyd’s track Want U Back and recently invited her on stage for a duet during a stop on her Red tour.

Lloyd scored her highest US chart finish with the single when it hit shelves back in 2012, reaching the Top 40 on both sides of the pond.

Inviting her onstage at the Staples Center in LA, Swift ripped through an epic rendition of the track, which saw the crowd going wild and singing the chorus at ear-splitting levels back at them. You can check out a video of it below.

Introducing the track before Lloyd takes to the mic, Swift told her fans:

“She is a long way away from home. She sings this song that has been in my head ever since it came out last summer. I know you probably know it; the feeling that when you break up with somebody and then you're like, 'Ahh, I shouldn't have done that. I want you back.'”

It’s not the only work Lloyd has been doing with American musicians recently - she’s just announced new single ‘I Wish’, featuring rapper T.I. Expected out in September, it’s the first taste of what Lloyd will bring with her hugely-anticipated second album, the follow-up to her smash-hit debut ‘Sticks + Stones’, which hit #4 back in 2011.
