Kilto Take Announce New Single Mimic - Listen Here

Thursday, 29 August 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Kilto Take have announced the release of Mimic, the first single to be released from their forthcoming debut album ‘Resolute’.

Spikey, angular yet expansive guitars accent the interplay between the drums and bass, providing the platform to delve into Mimic’s murky lyrical theme of the inherent self-destruction of modern life. As lead singer Jonathan explained: “It focuses on the pastimes of a hedonist ‘mimicking a life’ of empty, throwaway, lust-fuelled pursuits, becoming just another lost soul of 'dissolute culture'…giving it away all to easily."

Taking influences from the best of early-U2, early-Radiohead, The Cure and Echo and the Bunnymen; the dark, anthemic offering typifies the bands approach to making the music that they love.

The Hertfordshire based band seem destined to follow in the footsteps of the UK’s most esteemed indie-rock acts and having already been main support for bands such as Django Django, LOOM, Theme Park, Man Like Me and The Chapman Family to name a few.

'Resolute’ will be released via Medical Records on November 25.
