Calvin Harris Calls Out Fan Mid-Gig After 'Sell-Out' Claims - Watch Now!

Superstar DJ and producer Calvin Harris is enjoying a pretty fine life at the moment, having been named the richest DJ in the world for 2013. But, despite earning megabucks, that doesn’t mean he’s sold out - and it also doesn’t mean you can excuse him of selling-out either, just as one American clubber found out at a recent gig in Miami.
Performing at the lively LIV club, Harris was ripping through a standard party-anthems set, and had just smacked on his #2 single Feel So Close when one female raver decided she wasn’t enjoying herself. She proceeded to call Harris a ‘sell-out’ and demanded that he ‘play something original’, apparently unbeknown to the fact that she was, in fact, listening to one of his own original tracks.
Stopping the music, he asked her what she had to say, when she made the ‘play something original comments’. After replying ‘that was originally written by me... that’s my song’, he gave her the microphone again before saying:
“Why do you come to a fucking Calvin Harris show where Calvin Harris is DJing and don’t want to hear a fucking Calvin Harris record you dumb fucking bitch.”
After publicly destroying a poor, misguided clubber, you may expect such a big-wig to be feeling rather good about himself, but an eyewitness (earwitness?) at the show told Mix Junkies:
“He got defeated. It happened not even a half hour into his set, so for the rest of it, he barely moved around no expression or smile. [He] didn't speak in the mic or make eye contact with anyone and I’m pretty sure he played a new vocal track and said nothing. Bitch killed his vibe.”
Although he may or may not have had his ‘vibe killed’ at the night, we can assure you he’ll be in good spirits when he hits the UK for a tour alongside the second-highest earning DJ in the world, trance icon Tiesto.
