Brian May could be set to release an album featuring lost recordings from Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, including duets with Michael Jackson.
The guitarist revealed earlier this year that the had plans to make three tracks Mercury put together with Jackson back in 1983 available for fans, claiming that there’d be ‘something for folks to hear’ in the next two months.
Now, May has returned with even more good news, telling iHeartRadio that he had managed to find even more recordings.
“We thought we'd exhausted everything that was around and could be worked on, but since then a number of things have come to light from various sources that we'd just plain forgotten about, including the stuff with Freddie and Michael Jackson. Just a couple of weeks ago, we thought: Maybe we shouldn't be just working on bits and pieces? Maybe we should be heading towards an album? It just might be.”
Meanwhile, drummer Roger Taylor has his own solo album ‘Fun on Earth’ coming out next month. The record is the Queen drummer's fifth solo release and will be joined on shelves by a box-set called 'The Lot', which brings together his previous albums and work with the Cross.
