Thrash Legends Anthrax Working on New Record

Monday, 16 September 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Thrash metal titans Anthrax have begun work on a new album, it has been confirmed.

The band, a member of the Big Four, announced earlier this year that they had plans for another record. Now, they’ve officially started writing tracks for what will be the follow-up to their 10th studio album ‘Worship Music', which hit shelves in 2011.

Founding member and guitarist Scott Ian broke the news to fans via Twitter - check out what he had to say:

It comes just a month after the band announced the arrival of a new guitarist, Jonathan Donais, who initially joined them as a touring member earlier this year following the departure lead guitarist Rob Caggiano. Donais is also the lead guitarist of Shadows Fall - click here to read our full coverage of the news.

The new album is expected to be completed and released in summer next year - are you looking forward to it? Leave us a comment in the box underneath!
