JLS star Marvin Humes will co-host the next series of The Voice UK, alongside presenter Emma Willis.
The singer’s career in the super-selling boyband is almost at an end, with the band having just a farewell tour, a Greatest Hits album, and a newly-announced live DVD left in their schedule before they retire.
Humes isn’t ready to leave the industry just yet, and as well as holding down his position as a Capital FM radio DJ, he’s now also set to co-host The Voice UK alongside Big Brother presenter Emma Willis.
Commenting on the role via a new statement (from The BBC), Humes told fans:
“I'm so excited to be a part of the new series of The Voice. I have always been a big fan of the show and love that musicians are given such a great opportunity to reach such a wide audience. I'm thrilled to be working alongside Emma and be part of a new team on The Voice.
“It's going to be even bigger and better with this new series. I can't wait to start.”
BBC Controller of Entertainment Commissioning Mark Linsey is also excited for Humes to start, and told the company:
“It’s great to have Marvin on board and I think he and Emma will work really well together. He is perfectly placed to encourage the acts throughout the competition.”
It’ll be good news for JLS fans, who’ll be happy to know they’ve still got somewhere to catch one of their favourite band members.
