Geddy Lee Rules Out Rush 40th Anniversary Tour

Monday, 23 September 2013 Written by Huw Baines

Geddy Lee has ruled out the possibility of Rush touring to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Neil Peart joining the band.

The prog-rock legends recently concluded another marathon tour, this time in support of their 'Clockwork Angels' record, and Lee is now looking forward to some time away from the road.

He told Rolling Stone:

"My attitude is that as much as I'd like to celebrate 40 years, we need a break more than we need a 40th anniversary celebration. There's nothing wrong with celebrating 42 years."

Luckily for the band's many fans, 'Rush: Clockwork Angels Tour', a new live album and DVD, will be released on November 18. The new live document was recorded at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas.
