London's Hard Rock Calling Festival 2014 Scrapped

Monday, 23 September 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Hard Rock International have confirmed that they will not stage the Hard Rock Calling festival in 2014. A statement announcing the decision confirmed that “the brand has been privileged and honoured to host” the festival, which has taken place in London over the last eight years.

Despite the scrapping of Hard Rock Calling Festival, which has taken place at Hyde Park and more recently Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Hard Rock International does intend to host new music extravaganzas in London, as well as across the globe, promising announcements for “major European music programmes” soon.

Hard Rock have also revealed that they “remain committed to supporting music and musicians through a variety of programs” including battle of the bands Hard Rock Rising and Hard Rock Rocks, which has already delivered major live music events to many European cities.

Hard Rock International are behind 173 venues in 53 countries. Those venues include 137 cafes, 17 hotels and 7 casinos.
