The Stone Roses Refuse To Comment Following 2015 Album Rumours

Thursday, 26 September 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Madchester legends The Stone Roses have remained tight-lipped over new rumours they’ll be releasing an album in 2015, following recent comments by bassist Mani.

Yesterday we reported that the iconic band would be releasing their long-awaited and hugely-anticipated new album in 2015, after Mani made short but sweet comments to Gigslutz earlier this week. When asked when the new album would surface, he told the site: "2015 man, 2015!".

Now, the rumour mill is in full swing, after a spokesperson for the band delivered even more brief comments about a new LP to NME. This time, though, all we were given was a notorious ‘no comment’.

It’s no mystery that the band are working on new music, and since their return in 2011, they’ve been hard at work performing a number of huge gigs across the world. But we still haven’t been treated to any new music.

What we do know is that there definitely WILL be a new album and bassist Mani has now all but confirmed that we can expect it in around two years. It seems we’re going to have to play the waiting game before anything reaches our ears.
