Take That Sign $5 Million Record Deal E-mail

ImageTake That have signed a whopping record deal, worth £3m (approx $5m), with major label Polydor to release at least one new album.

The ninties boy band, minus Robbie Williams, are currently enjoying a resurgence with a new found popularity which has brought the band back from nowhere with a sold out UK tour.

The band faced a massive interest from the record labels to jump on board, but opted to sign with Polydor to work with label boss David Joseph, who helped the band while working at EMI in the ninties.

It was also revealed that the band have been writing new material together.

A source told The Sun: "There was massive record company interest in signing Take That on to a new deal to carry them through the next few years.

"Two things contributed to the frenzy. First, their current tour proved there is still a big fan base. But it was a collection of new songs which gave Polydor the confidence to commit to the future.

"All four of them have been writing together this time around - not just leaving it to Gary. They have finished five songs and will go back in the studio as soon as the tour is finished."
