Facebook Message And New Promo Picture Spark David Bowie Tour Rumours

Wednesday, 30 October 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Rumours of David Bowie's live comeback have once again got fans buzzing, after a new promo photo and cryptic message surfaced on the iconic singer's official Facebook page.

The new picture and message appeared overnight and have since got tongues wagging over the possibility of the singer's return to the stage. The message reads:

"BRAND NEW BOWIE PICTURE EXCLUSIVE

“Keep your 'lectric eye on me babe...”

Good news coming."

As far back as March, rumours have been circulating that Bowie was contemplating a live return in support of his latest album, ‘The Next Day.’ It has been reported that promoter rivals Live Nation and AEG have both made massive offers to bring Bowie to the stage. In addition, bandmates have claimed that the chances of a tour are 50/50.

The Thin White Duke hasn’t performed on stage since 2006 and his last tour was way back in 2004. 'The Next Day' has been nominated for the 2013 Mercury Music Prize. The winner will be announced tonight in London.
