Vampire Weekend have announced that they won’t be making three European tour dates this weekend, due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.
Though their UK gigs won’t be affected, the New York three-piece have now cancelled shows in Stockholm Sweden, Oslo Norway, and Copenhagen in Denmark on November 7, 8 and 10 respectively, with a promise that they’ll head back to Scandinavia ‘soon’ in return.
Vampire Weekend broke the news to fans via Facebook earlier today, writing:
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, our shows in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark have been cancelled. Our tour will resume on November 12 in Birmingham, UK at Birmingham NIA. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase. We sincerely apologize to our fans, and look forward to making it back to you soon.”
It’s hard luck for our Scandinavian counterparts but UK fans still have the chance to catch them live later this month when they hit our shores for five gigs. If you’re a fan and still need tickets, check the dates and links below.
