Noel Gallagher Dismisses Oasis Reunion Hopes

Thursday, 21 November 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

As the 20th anniversary of 'Definitely Maybe' creeps closer, Noel Gallagher has confirmed that he will not be part of any future Oasis reunion.

The band split back in 2009, with Liam Gallagher going on to front Beady Eye and Noel rolling out his High Flying Birds project.

'Definitely Maybe' - Oasis' debut - will celebrate its 20th year in 2014 but according to Noel, there's no 'unfinished business'.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, he explained:

“I think I’d rather not. We are split up. [The] band is no more. There is no band. So, no, I won’t be getting involved, anyway. If there is a reunion, I won’t be in it. But I’m cool with it. I don’t think there’s any unfinished business. I don’t think that we left anything unsaid, do you know what I mean?”

He added:

“It’s like, if you’ve seen [Oasis], then good for you. If you didn’t, then that’s fucking tough shit. I’ve never seen the Beatles. So there you go.”
