Tame Impala Stream Erol Alkan Rework Of Be Above It - Listen Here

Thursday, 21 November 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

After teasing Tame Impala fans with a snippet of the Erol Alkan rework of Be Above It last week, it’s time to unleash the full version. The track is available for streaming below, and will be available to purchase December 9 in the UK.

After his epic elongation of Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind, one of the deeper cuts on Tame Impala's debut record 'Innerspeaker', influential London producer, DJ and label head Erol Alkan again pulls Tame Impala apart, this time stretching the seams on Be Above It, the opening track of their acclaimed second album 'Lonerism'.

The Erol Alkan rework comes as a white-sleeved, one-sided 12” and will be limited to just 1500 copies worldwide. The track will also be available digitally. The limited 12” will be available a week early, on November 30 between 11am and 5pm via Modular’s stall at the Independent Label Market, Spitalfields’ Market, London.

The band were also announced this week as main support for Arctic Monkeys at their two 50,000 capacity shows at London’s Finsbury Park next May.

Arctic Monkeys UK & Ireland Tour Dates are as follows

Fri May 23 2014 - LONDON Finsbury Park
Sat May 24 2014 - LONDON Finsbury Park
