Green Day Set To 'Take A Break' Following Australian Tour

Tuesday, 03 December 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has confirmed that the band will "take a break" following the conclusion of their forthcoming Australian tour.

The band released their album trilogy, ‘Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré!’, in 2012, while Armstrong recently hooked up with Norah Jones to release 'Foreverly', their tribute to the Everly Brothers.

Armstrong told BBC Radio 2:

“We’re going to Australia, doing a tour there and then we’re going to take a break. We haven’t really been doing much. So it’s just nice to kind of do some other things, y’know, when we get ready to do Green Day again, our batteries will be charged.”
