Rod Stewart Retains Top Billing On Stereoboard's Hot Ticket Chart

Friday, 06 December 2013 Written by Stereoboard.com

For the second week running, Rod Stewart is the king of this particular castle. The rock legend has seen off competition from the worlds of music and comedy to hold on to top spot on Stereoboard’s Hot Ticket Chart, with a series of stadium gigs in the diary for June 2014.

Kasabian are a new entry in second spot, having confirmed a huge hometown show at Leicester’s Victoria Park, while Monty Python are down one place despite confirming a new slate of shows at London’s O2 Arena.

Spots four, five and six belong to chart regulars Strictly Come Dancing, One Direction and Michael Buble, with Arcade Fire a new entry at seven following the announcement of two shows at London’s Earls Court next summer.

Completing this week’s top 10 are Lee Evans, McBusted and X Factor Live, with some big hitters, in the form of Katy Perry and Arctic Monkeys, at 11 and 12. Nestled one spot behind them are You Me At Six, who will hit the road next year in support of a new album, ‘Cavalier Youth’.

Robbie Williams is at 14 based on pre-sale tickets for his ‘Swings Both Ways’ Tour - check back next week to see if he can topple Stewart - while Miranda Hart, Eagles, Gary Barlow, Drake, Calvin Harris and country legend Dolly Parton have all done enough to clock up another week in the top 20.
