Led Zeppelin Catalogue Now Available On Spotify

Wednesday, 11 December 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Led Zeppelin are the latest band to make their back catalogue available for streaming via Spotify, joining fellow bands reluctant to embrace the streaming platform, Metallica and Pink Floyd.

The New York Times reported that Zeppelin representatives have been in negotiations with streaming services since January this year. Spotify have today confirmed that Zepp's catalogue will be available for streaming as of December 11.

In addition to the Zeppelin news, Spotify have also revealed that its music will now be available for free on any platform – including mobiles and tablets. Users were previously required pay to use the smartphone and tablet apps, with its free service only available via desktop use. Only a handful of big names are now missing from Spotify, major acts include the Beatles, Oasis and AC/DC.
