Wireless Festival Set For Birmingham Expansion In 2014

Friday, 13 December 2013 Written by Huw Baines

Wireless Festival is set to expand in 2014, with organisers confirming that the event will head to Birmingham as well as its London base.

Last year's festival, headlined by Jay Z, Justin Timberlake and Rihanna, was held at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, having previously been staged at Hyde Park and Leeds' Harewood House.

In a post on their website, Wireless organisers confirmed fresh plans for next year's event, which will take place between July 4 and 6. They wrote:

"Big news! Wireless Festival 2014 will be returning as a two site, multi stage event, that will see the same artists play across sites in London and Birmingham across different days over the same weekend. First Wireless 2014 announcement and tickets on sale in January."
