George Michael Has 'Exciting News' For 2014

Wednesday, 18 December 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Pop superstar George Michael could be set to return to the stage in 2014.

Michael's official website is currently displaying an image of red curtains, along with the message "exciting news coming in 2014".

A representative of the singer, speaking to NME, has denied that the curtains are symbolic of plans to retire. They said: "I do not understand where people are getting any of this from. Our team that deal with the website and fan club were just being creative when they blackened out the website and added a curtain. This is only to give space and time to make some really exciting news for 2014. George Michael is in great shape and next year promises to be a lovely year musically for George, and all of his fans!"

Michael last released 'Patience' in 2004 and toured most recently in 2011 and 2012, as part of his Symphonica series.
