Shakira Confirms Rihanna Duet Can't Remember To Forget You

Tuesday, 07 January 2014 Written by Elliott Batte

Shakira will release a duet with Rihanna, Can't Remember To Forget You, later this month.

The track has been teased in the media for some time and will act as the lead single from Shakira's forthcoming album, the follow-up to 2010's 'Sale el Sol'. It's set to arrive on January 13.

In a recent radio interview with Kidd Kraddick in the Morning, Pitbull revealed that the duet prevented him from getting Rihanna to sing on his track Timber, which eventually featured vocals from Ke$ha. He said:

"That is an ironic situation there. The person we were looking at first to work on that record was actually Rihanna, and Rihanna had something she had to do with Shakira, so she wasn't able to work on our record."
