Biffy Clyro To Release B-Sides Album 'Similarities'

Thursday, 09 January 2014 Written by Elliott Batte

Scottish rock titans Biffy Clyro have announced that they will be releasing a new collection of b-sides and rarities later this year.

The band, who released their sixth studio album, ‘Opposites’, last year, will out out the compilation prior to releasing their next record.

Speaking to Kerrang!, frontman Simon Neil revealed:

“We still have four or five songs from the album that no-one's heard yet, so it'll be nice to put those out. We'll put something out called 'Similarities'. That will have 18 songs, I think.

"We've got about four songs written on piano at the moment and we have about six or seven riffs, too. The genesis of the next album is there, I suppose. I'm not sure these new songs will make the next record or not. I think we'll record the next album in 2015."

The trio have a handful of UK and Ireland dates lined-up for 2014, including a headline slot at the Isle of Wight Festival. If you fancy catching them live, click here to search for tickets through Stereoboard.
